Get in the Christmas Spirit!

December 1, 2017

The month of December is the best time to love where you live! Santa is coming to town this festive Holiday Season. So put on a pair of wool socks, warm boots, and grab a hot cup of cocoa (maybe with a little Kahlua) and explore the town!

There are plenty of places in Michigan to hit up with friends and fam in town, but we're just naming a few of our most joyous, cheery, fun-filled events in the area.

Our Fave Holiday Events

Bet you've seen this beautiful Christmas gem standing out in the middle of D town. This place certainly comes alive during the winter season, and we see the appeal! It has one of the best skating rinks in the Metro Detroit area, along with gorgeous lights and a 60-foot tree surrounding the ice rink. This jovial spot makes for a sincerely magical place.

Sat: 10a-midnight

Plymouth Ice Festival

An intimate, world-class event in dashing downtown Plymouth. Fun for the whole family and a great spot to take pics! This ice festival has a long standing history of being the largest free ice festival in Michigan with it's dedication to the art of ice carving. Come see these talented artists!

Lake Shore Drive

If you haven't driven through Lake Shore Drive in Grosse Pointe yet, your time is due! The Grosse Pointe & Nautical Mile Driving Tour takes you up the beautiful shoreline of Lake St. Clair and through some of Metro Detroit's most exclusive suburbs (the same ones chronicled in the 1997 movie Grosse Pointe Blank starring John Cusack). Prepare to be mind blown after these houses are lit up for your Holiday pleasure.

Holiday Nights in Greenfield Village

Experience a Christmas journey through a winter wonderland full of live music, skating, and fireworks as friends, children, couples, and families gather together to enjoy all the holiday beauty. See costumed presenters, horse-drawn wagons, Model T rides. Plus Santa Clause (yes, he is real) with LIVE reindeer (yep, those are real too).

Dec 1 thru Dec 30: 6:30-10p.
