An Update From Busch's Fresh Food Market

March 16, 2020

Busch’s Fresh Food Market – March 16, 2020 Update

As the Coronavirus Pandemic has evolved into a National Emergency we continue to take steps to ensure that we can to provide our guests with the products they need in an environment that is safe and secure. To that end we have made the following changes to how we operate our business.

Reducing Hours

Our new hours will be 7:00 AM through 9:00 PM starting today, March 16, 2020. Closing two hours early each night gives us extra time to restock and clean our store, and gives our associates some time to rest, so we are ready for business the next day.

Getting Products on the Shelves

We are working with our various partners across our supply chain to get the products our guests want and need. However, due to the unprecedented demand across the grocery industry, all grocery stores are having trouble keeping up with demand, especially for certain items. Empty shelves are frustrating for all of us and we are doing our best to make sure the products you need, or a suitable alternative, will be available. Guests can help us make sure we have enough for everyone by not buying substantially more than is needed.

Eliminating Self-Serve Areas

For added safety we are eliminating all self-serve areas such as:

  • Hot Food Bar

  • Salad and Soup Bar

  • Olive Bar

  • Self-Serve Bakery

  • Kombucha Stations.

Whenever possible we will offer the products that had been available in pre-packaged containers for the safety of our guests. Our Deli Departments will continue to offer pre-packaged as well as ready-to-order meal solutions.

Highlighting Safety

Throughout our stores we will continue to emphasize food safety with our associates and our guests. Reminders about simple things to help eliminate risk, like washing produce, as well as in-store procedures to protect our guests will continue to be highlighted whenever and wherever we can.

Looking Out for the Most Vulnerable

If you, or a family member or friend, are at higher risk for Coronavirus please let us know and we will try and help as best we can. We encourage our guests to help their neighbors by adding needed items to their own shopping trip and we also offer online shopping with a 24-hour notice for those that can’t safely make it to our stores. For online shopping please note that many items remain out-of-stock or are in short supply so we may need to substitute similar items until the supply chain can catch back up with demand.

Working Together

Since 1975 we have worked hard to earn your trust and business. We will continue to serve our communities through this time of uncertainty, providing you with quality products and clean stores when you need it most. Our team is fully engaged with all of our vendor partners to secure the products you need to take care of your loved ones and families. Together we will get through this.
